There are two types of Hybrid vehicles; Hybrids and Plug-in Hybrids. Hybrids allow for short spells of electric-only driving thanks to their more powerful electrical powertrains. Plug-in Hybrids work in the same way as Hybrids but with a higher capacity battery for greater performance and increased electric-only EV mode driving range.
